 DCMHCA CE EVENT

(Earn 1.5 CEs)

                  Saturday, June 18, 2022

       11:00am to 12:30pm

Hello DCMHCA Friends & Colleagues

Join us for our June CE Event in honor of Juneteenth, also know as Juneteenth Independence Day or Freedom Day.  In 2021, Juneteenth became a federal holiday to commemorate the end of slavery in the United States.  In light of recent worldwide, national and political events, FREEDOM has become a controversial topic in response to systemic oppression and mental health and well-being.

The DCMHCA welcomes its members and the LPC community to attend our CE Event, "Freedom: What Does It Mean?"

The following questions are designed to help us engage in open and honest dialogue:

  • What does freedom mean to you
  • What does freedom mean in the context of implicit  bias?
  • How do you make your voice heard as a member of a minority group, no matter what minority you’re a part of?
  • How do we break free from intergenerational trauma
